The primary purpose of our church building is to facilitate worship services and religious activities. As such, we are not an event venue and the building and related facilities are not generally available for large or late-night events on weekends that would interfere with preparing for the building's main use.
Requests for events from groups external to the church that extend past 6 pm on Friday or Saturday evenings, or that have more than 100 attendees, will not be scheduled unless there are exceptional circumstances and the event has been specifically approved by the church leadership. This is to ensure the building is available and prepared for worship services and related activities on Sundays.
Exceptions may be made for church-sponsored or church-related events that support the religious mission and purpose of the congregation. All other event requests will be evaluated based on their size, timing, and potential impact on the building's primary use.
Those reserving the church facility are expected to respect the space and treat the building with care. All furnishings that are moved or used must be returned to their original location. Set-up, tear-down, and removal of trash in the reserved space is the responsibility of the reserving group. No posters or decorations may be attached to the walls.
Use of the kitchen is available - Kitchen Care Guidelines must be followed. All food, supplies, and decorations must be removed at the conclusion of the event. Community EC does not provide paper supplies.
Use of the building is limited to the spaces requested and approved in the building request form.
No smoking is allowed in the building. If you do smoke outside the building, we request that you do not discard cigarette butts on the grounds.
No alcoholic beverages are allowed on the property. Orderly conduct and decent attire is required.
The church reserves the right to cancel or end the event with no refund if guests or members of the party arrive inebriated or behave in any way that jeopardizes the dignity of Community EC.
If any property damage occurs that exceeds the amount of the security deposit, you will be asked to pay the actual costs of the damage repairs. Damage must be reported immediately following the event.
If you are providing your own clergyperson, we require verification of their ministerial credentials as a Christian minister of the Gospel. The minister must be approved by the Lead Pastor of Community EC prior to booking.
